Prevalence of psychiatric diagnosis and related psychopathological symptoms among patients with COVID-19 during the second wave of the pandemic

Abstract Background The possibility of psychopathological symptoms and related risk factors among normal persons patients infected during the outbreak COVID-19 has been widely investigated. mental health outcomes second wave pandemic remain unclear, especially those with an infection. Thus, this study aims to explore prevalence associated wave. Method A cross-sectional survey was conducted in five isolated wards a designated hospital Beijing, China, from July 1 15, 2020. Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI) assess psychiatric disorders, series scales were used measure self-reported psychosomatic factors. Multivariate regression analysis analyze symptoms. Results Among 119 participants infections, generalized anxiety (51.3%), depressive (41.2%), posttraumatic stress (PTSS)/posttraumatic disorder (PTSD) (33.6%) observed. Loneliness, hope, coping strategies, history disorders shared or protective across several perceived impact is specific factor state Conclusions depression, anxiety, PTSS/PTSD high infections Beijing.
